KILGORE, Texas, November 26, 2007 – Skeeter Products, Inc., manufacturer of Skeeter brand boats, will continue its sponsorship of Georgia’s most popular and exciting tournament trails – the Skeeter Eliminator Series, by partnering with Georgia Outdoor News in this 100 percent payback tournament trail.  

“The Eliminator Series continues to gain interest and support throughout Georgia, and it’s a great fit for Skeeter as we emphasize reaching anglers at the grassroots, or local level,” says Trey White, Director of Marketing for Skeeter Products, Inc. “As we celebrate our 60th Anniversary throughout 2008, the Skeeter Eliminator Series will provide more opportunities for more anglers, including increasing the number of boating and non-boating anglers, increasing the number of rounds fished, and more cash prizes,” says White. 

The Eliminator consists of six rounds of fishing. All tournaments take place during the week. For each round, anglers only fish heads-up against one other angler. The winning angler moves to the next round to face a different opponent. The last man standing after six rounds of fishing will walk away with $5,000 and the crown of 2008 Eliminator Champ. 

In addition to the $5,000 first-place prize, if the winner is a registered Skeeter owner and fishes from that Skeeter boat in the championship, Skeeter will cut another $5,000 check. So, the winner could pocket $10,000 in this 64-man elimination bass tournament. Boaters and non-boaters must be GON subscribers to be eligible.
