Skeeter Products, Inc., manufacturer of Skeeter brand boats, continues its aggressive product development for 2009, introducing yet another model in its ‘Deep V’ Series – the WX1950. The addition of the WX1950 brings Skeeter’s ‘Deep V’ Series offerings to five boats, including the WX2100, the WX1880, the new WX2000T and the WX1790T, with the WX2100, WX1880 and WX1950 also offered in single console options. “We continue to see strong interest in our ‘Deep V’ Series from northern markets, as anglers seek a durable, reliable and stable fishing boat designed for the rough waters and often rougher weather conditions,” says Steve Soukup, Skeeter’s Northern Sales Representative. “Each and every time a Skeeter owner launches his or her WX boat, it is put to the test, fishing for walleye, muskie, northern pike, or even salmon,” says Soukup. The WX1950 measures 19’10” in length, yet carries the same 97.5” beam as Skeeter’s larger WX2100. This, combined with a 25” interior depth, provides for an incredibly stable platform for running or trolling. The boat is designed specifically for Yamaha’s 25”, four-stroke outboard engines, which gives the boat the ultimate in performance, speed and fuel efficiency. With dual aerated baitwells, including a 14-quart bow livewell/baitwell, and a rear 6-quart baitwell, all anglers on-board will have quick and easy access to fresh bait. Recreational and tournament anglers will appreciate the 34-gallon rear livewell. Each livewell and baitwell features Skeeter’s Livewell Control System for reliable, confident operation. The console features sealed analog gauges, Humminbird’s 727 Series flush mounted fishfinder, tilt hydraulic steering and water-resistant switches. The bow panel also comes standard with a Humminbird 727 fishfinder. Both the bow and console may be upgraded to handle flush mount electronic GPS upgrades from both Humminbird and Lowrance. Plenty of dry storage for personal items can be found in the passenger console. The longest of rods can be stored in the boat’s port gunwale storage compartment or center rod box. A port storage compartment under the front casting deck provides extra space to store gear and tackle. The rear fishing deck easily converts from fishing to running mode, with two comfortable jump seats, beneath which house easy access to the rear-rigging compartment. The WX1950 seats offer adjustable heights and locking swivels, and five seat bases allow you to find the best spot on the boat for your activities. A center step, 23-quart ice chest is great for refreshments, and gives you that extra step to access the front casting deck. Snap-in carpet makes for makes for easy clean up after a long day on the water. The WX1950 comes standard with a Minn Kota 80PD-Pro, 60” shaft trolling motor, Minn Kota 15 Amp x 3-bank battery charger check with charging inlet and extension leads, and a six-gauge trolling motor wiring system with three battery trays. Also standard is a Skeeter tandem axle tube trailer with disc brakes, spare tire with carrier, ratchet tie downs, back-up lights, swing-away tongue, Skeeter aluminum wheels, color coordinated Euro-Step Polymer Fenders and torsion axles. Owners can select from a host of options, including, single console option, AM/FM stereo CD player with speakers, electronic GPS packages from Humminbird or Lowrance, Yamaha T80 kicker engine with tiller or remote control, Oxy-Max Livewell Aeration System, among many more options.
