Skeeter owners from around the country will continue to benefit from Skeeter’s ‘Real Money’ tournament incentive program throughout 2009, as the company plans to payout thousands of dollars to tournament anglers who fish at the grassroots level. “Our Real Money program is successful because we make it easy to participate,” says Skeeter’s Director of Marketing, Trey White. “We are amazed at the level of interest and participation from our Skeeter owners, all of whom are taking advantage of the opportunity to fish and win money,” White added. “We encourage all owners to register – it’s just that simple.” Skeeter’s ‘Real Money’ program surpassed the $1 million mark in payouts in June of 2008, and much of the program’s success is due to the support of its nationwide network of dealers. “We have been selling bass boats for more than 20 years, and no program during this time has been as effective of a selling tool as the Skeeter ‘Real Money’ program. We have given away tens of thousands of dollars in payback money to our customers. No other boat manufacturer can say that in the state of Michigan,” says Jeff Uetrecht of Lake Drive Marine in Coldwater, Michigan. Skeeter initiated its ‘Real Money’ program in 2006, and during that year the company paid out more than $305,000 to its owners. In 2007, that figure jumped to more than $520,000, and the company hit the $1 million mark in total payouts in 2008. Skeeter’s ‘Real Money’ statistics do not include payments to Skeeter’s team of professional anglers, a format that Skeeter’s competitors are now following. “This program rewards our consumer retail buyers” White adds. Skeeter has also sanctioned more than 4,000 tournaments, such as MTT, the Skeeter Eliminator Series, Got to Love It, Central Pro Am, B.I.T.E., and the Skeeter/Yamaha Tour, making it one of the largest contingency programs. Unlike its competitors, Skeeter’s program has no strings attached. The ‘Real Money’ program is the only contingency program currently offered that has no limit on the age of the boat used to fish a tournament – giving all Skeeter owners the opportunity to fish and win. Effective until December 31, 2009, this year’s program features three levels of payouts: • $3,000 Cash = Fish & Win a Contingency Paying Event using your 2009 Skeeter Boat powered by a 225 horsepower Yamaha engine or larger and you will be eligible for $3,000 for a win. • $2,000 = Fish & Win a Contingency Paying Event using your 2009 Skeeter boat powered by a 200 horsepower Yamaha engine or a 2008 Skeeter boat powered by a 225 horsepower Yamaha engine or larger and you will be eligible for $2,000 for a win. • $1000 = Fish & Win a Contingency Paying Event using your Skeeter boat powered by Yamaha and you will be eligible for $1,000 for a win.
