Kilgore, Texas, September 4, 2007 – With Skeeter/Yamaha Pro Kelly Jordon’s recent 15th place finish in the Bassmaster Major Legends tournament on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas, the veteran angler joins a small and elite list of professional anglers who have surpassed the $1 million mark in career earnings on the Bassmaster tour.

“It’s a great feeling, and I’m honored to be joining the $1 million club,” says Jordon. “There are several, plateaus that you hope to reach as a professional angler, and I’ve been fortunate to have won several tournaments and caught 100-pounds of fish during a tournament,” says the angler. “This is one more goal that truly validates your career,” he says.

Jordon hopes to take his career to the next level, and has his sites set on an Angler of the Year title or a Bassmaster Classic Championship. “My fishing style is suited more toward individual tournament victories, but I fish for the competition and because it’s something that I’ve always had a passion for,” he says. “It’s a real job, and takes its toll on your body and mind, but professional fishing is full of joys, including being associated with great anglers, organizers, sponsors and fans,” he stated.

The Mineola, Texas native has earned money in an amazing 68 percent of the Bassmaster tournament he has fished, earning the professional angler five trips to the exclusive Bassmaster Classic. Jordon has 21 top ten finishes, including victories in the 2006 Capitol Clash, the 2004 South Carolina Citgo Bassmaster Pro Tour event, the 2002 Alabama Tour Pro event and the 2001Alabama Top 150 Pro event.
