THE 90° MANEUVERABILITY TEST

This critical test is just one example of how we not only adhere to, but exceed our industry's technical practices. The test is conducted by accelerating the boat to its maximum top-end speed, and then sharply turning the steering wheel 180 degrees with no change in settings. The boat passes the test by completing a 90° change in direction without the driver losing confidence in his ability to maintain control. All SKEETER boats have passed at their maximum speed and horsepower ratings.

SAFETY INNOVATION

All our boats are equipped with an aluminum emergency boarding ladder. Because climbing into your boat should be easy, we've made it simple.

All you have to do is pull the pin, let the ladder release and lock into place, then climb back in.

As we were starting to build boats, Americans were starting to think about going into space.

INNOVATION

Composite One-Piece Floor: The floor of the SKEETER FXR, ZXR and ZX is one solid piece. It is composed of a PVC crosslinked foam, sandwiched between layers of fiberglass.

EX-Cel Composites, for the Industry's Strongest Hull: The transom, stringers and floor utilize aerospace derivatives known as EX-Cel composites, which provide outstanding strength and durability.

A Finish That Lasts: The polyflake finishes are applied using an exclusive "dry flake" system that allows the flake to be sprayed behind the clearcoat for a lustrous, durable finish that resists migration through the clear gel top coat and lasts longer. Additionally, it has our extra-tough Armorcoat? gel coats that are considered the best in the industry against weathering and blistering.

Aluminum Torque Transfer Transom & Stringer System: This revolutionary system bonds high-test aircraft structural aluminum to the EX-Cel transom and stringer to eliminate hull stress.

Aluminum Deck Grid System: Aluminum structure provides superior support and strength, with lids that close tightly and lock securely.

EXTREMELY STABLE

Even when your partner is jumping around in the back, it won't affect you on the bow. Extreme stability and optimum flotation reduce rocking and rolling. We even drilled holes in one of our hulls to prove it. Four men fished comfortably, and then took the same boat to plane.

SMOOTH AND DRY RIDE

The aggressive 20-degree deep-V of the patented hull design works in conjunction with the primary and secondary reverse chines to keep the water off of you and in the lake. Smooth and dry is how every ride is remembered in a SKEETER.

Running Surface: The aggressive area of the hull combines the center pad and the inner strakes to give SKEETER the smoothest, driest ride in the industry.

Primary Reverse Chines: These concave sections are built to exacting specifications to deliver control and comfort, even in the roughest conditions.

Strakes: Angled cuts along the chines provide lift and act as a rail, deflecting water as it smoothes the ride.

Secondary Reverse Chines: Adding another layer, the secondary reverse chines deflect any additional water passing over the running surface.

Turning Chines: These important performance features limit the amount of heel the boat will experience during mid- to high-speed turns to keep you in control.

Center Pad: This is the heart of the running surface, where width, angle and height are precisely engineered to deliver the best combination of speed, handling and load-carrying capability.

Water Flow Foil (Setback): Allows water flowing under the boat to quickly rise and cover the prop while a minimal amount of hull remains in the water, reducing drag.

Sponsons: Water flowing up from the setback pushes the sponsons up and gets the boat quickly on plane. At rest, they act as pontoons that allow you to walk from side to side without rocking the boat.

Constant Curvature: A distinguishing design feature of the Skeeter hull is the constant curvature of the boat from bow to stern. With the widest point just forward of the console, you get a larger front casting deck and oversized storage. With the deck gunnel designed to intersect the hull at an angle, increased strength and rigidity prevent damage caused by dock or timber impact.

SKEETER'S REVOLUTIONARY TRANSOM AND STRINGER

Talk about strength. Our FXR, ZXR and ZX boats use an Aluminum Torque Transfer Transom and Stringer System, adhering high-test aircraft structural aluminum to the Ex-cel transom. Stress on the transom, deck and sides are gone. To prove it, we're suspending this boat by its engine bolts, with no loss of hull integrity.

  The big water hull on all WX Series models, by its nature, creates massive amounts of room under the deck for storage. The both port and starboard side storage lockers are very deep and wide. You'll be amazed at the amount of gear you can pack.
  

• OUTSTANDING TROLLING PLATFORM:
  Remove the rear pedestal seats and you can still bring 4 fishermen while creating lots of open cockpit space for managing trolling spreads. The gunnels caps are flat, allowing the installation of rails for rod holders or Trax systems for down rigger fishing and rod tree applications.
  

• DEEP SIDE GUNNELS:
  All WX Series models have deep gunnels along with a large open cockpit. Your family and friends will enjoy the comfort and safety of the WX Series cockpit. Depending on the model, gunnels are up to 28 inches deep.
  

• AUTOMOTIVE STYLE COCKPIT SIDE PANELS:
  The WX2200 and WX2060 now feature an automotive style vinyl side panel on the port and starboard side. The side panels feature built in speakers, passenger side grab handle, and conveniently located cupholders.
  

• SKI PYLON:
  When your family or friends are ready to take a break from fishing and have some fun in the sun, the optional Ski Pylon comes in handy.
